"Thanks
Dean
The evening trip on the
Fri 30 to the wreck was excellent, lots of top class cod,
and pollock. The wreck is 20 odd miles out of our home town
here, but becca-marie a Venom 38 made the outward
trip in no time at all,as you know the party were all local
anglers, with their own boats and you had to put up with a
bit of banter, but to a man you and your fine boat came
through it with flying colours. She's a cracking big boat
lots and lots of room - same lot of locals want to get back
out there!

Pat"

Radiating
a warmth of its own, Brixham nestles in the rugged cliffs
at the southern end of the English Riviera. Life in Brixham
centres around its pretty harbour, where you can absorb the
many flavours of the town, and in the bustle of one of
Britain's busiest fishing ports. Brixham accommodation is
ideally positioned around the heart of the town.
In the shape of a horseshoe and framing the beautiful body
of water known as Torbay, the English Riviera and her towns
of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham face the southeast, thus
making it a perfect suntrap.
The microclimate which the English Riviera is famous for is
explained by the heights of Dartmoor, framing the area
immediately to the North West, protecting the resort from
the prevailing winds and combining with the Gulf Stream,
which bring the warm waters to our doorstep.
The end
result is a climate that is
much milder than the rest of the UK. The winters
are mild and short, giving way to the flower-filled warmth
of an early spring. Summer really does seem to linger, with
October and November very often mild enough to enjoy
outdoor activities. The ideal long fishing
season!
